Individual talk therapy sessions with me are 50 minutes in length and will incorporate these important facets of the therapeutic experience:

Safety, respect, & compassion

Together we’ll build a space that you feel comfortable in to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as well as a trusting therapeutic relationship that will be paramount to your goals in therapy. And of course, our sessions are private.

Collaboration

Our initial sessions will be dedicated to getting to know one another and assessing your needs and concerns. Together we will create a personalized plan to address your needs and goals. Therapy is not one size fits all. I’ll work closely with you and meet you where you are, learning each session what makes you you. Feedback from you is pivotal to giving you the therapeutic experience you deserve. By getting to know you and taking in your feedback, we will design therapeutic goals that will allow you to live your life the way you want to - and enjoy it.

Integration of modern tools, skills, & resources fit to you

I will use my knowledge and experience with a variety of therapeutic approaches, tools, and interventions to tailor our sessions to incorporate what you need. Some of these include compassion and mindfulness based approaches as well as CBT, ACT, and more. Two components that are pivotal to my approach as a therapist are mindfulness and compassion based modalities with particular emphasis on our working relationship.

  • A safe, non-judgmental space to explore your past and present in order to deepen self-awareness, create new pathways of coping, and cultivate a new level of well being that will allow you to thrive.

  • This depends on many factors specific to each individual client. It is normal to, at times, feel worse during our therapeutic journey as we uncover difficult emotions and discuss our life’s hardships before we begin to feel better. Therapy is not always a linear journey.

  • While I don’t accept insurance; I do provide super bills to individuals who request them. By not using insurance I am allowed to see fewer clients and give more in-depth care to my clients, ensuring you can see me at a frequency and for a length that works best for you. It also allows you to keep your experiences off of your medical record. Lastly, it ensures that I am paid at a rate that honors the intensity of the work the mental health field that I experience on a daily basis.
